Oxygen Facials
Letting Your Skin Breathe

If you like your entertainment news, you may have already heard about the oxygen facial, but have you ever thought of having one yourself?

Many stars have raved about the effect of the oxygen facial, and some spas continue to charge upwards of five hundred dollars for a treatment, but what is really involved?

Is it really the miracle cure that everyone says it is?

Essentially, the use of an oxygen facial will leave your skin looking radiant and firm due to the factor of adding oxygen to your face.

If you are considering this procedure, take a look at a few key points of information.

The first thing to consider is:

Why and how oxygen facials work

Basically, as we age, our skin heals less quickly due to the fact that it process oxygen at a slower rate than it did when we were young.

Decreased oxygen flowing from your capillaries to the outer layer of your skin is the reason why your skin looks and feels old and dry, and this is the very process that oxygen facials will help you.

When your skin experiences a deficit of oxygen, it will become dull, slack and tired.

Your skin is one of the primary indicators of your youth and health, and when you let your skin become lifeless, the rest of your body is dragged down as well.

Typically, it can be harder for your skin to receive oxygen from the air due to the fact that it is usually clogged with pollutants, dirt and oils.

A regular facial will remove the dirt and oil, but an oxygen facial goes one step further.

With an oxygen treatment, oxygen molecules are furnished directly to your skin and you'll find that the cells are replenished with energy.

After an oxygen facial, you'll find that your skin feels younger, fresher and significantly more hydrated.

When we get older and our skin becomes less efficient, the elasticity and resilience of our skin decreases, which is why skin condition is such an ingrained indicator of youth and health.

Does an oxygen facial really work?

The question has appeared as to whether this procedure is one that actually helps the skin, and at the end of the day, that is something that every individual will decide for himself or herself.

Many people have noticed that after an oxygen facial that their appearance is significantly and noticeably improved.

This immediate improvement is something that few other facial treatments have, and the results have been called similar to those provided by rougher procedures like microdermabrasion.

At the most basic level, this seems to be a treatment that will vary from individual, but a survey of photos of people who have had an oxygen facial points to the fact that when it works for you, it works very, very well.

What is the advantage of an oxygen facial?

One of the main advantages of the oxygen facial is its gentleness.

Many people are interested in making their skin look smooth, firm and young, but they have a strong aversion to treatments that will irritate it or involve some form of invasiveness.

An oxygen facial, by comparison, does not irritate the skin, nor does it require an injection, the way that Botox or dermal fillers do.

It is significant to note, however, that oxygen facials, like all facials, are by no means a permanent solution.

Regular maintenance is required, which can be difficult given the price tag.

You'll find that if you want oxygen facials but don't want to deal with the price tag that there are many home applications that you can work with.

There is a fairly large market for Do-It-Yourself oxygen facial kits, and you'll be able to find some sets that come with the pump that allows you to pump oxygen directly to your skin.

You'll also find that there are many excellent products that are meant to go with the oxygen facial, from moisturizers to extra cleansers.
